Location of the Fort Worth Temple Announced

On October 31st 2022, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced the location of a new temple to be built in the Forth Worth Area. The announcement goes as follows:


The Fort Worth Texas Temple—a single-story building of approximately 30,000 square feet—will be built on a 9.37-acre site north of SW Hulen Street and Greenridge Drive in Burleson, Texas.

President Nelson announced a temple for Fort Worth in October 2021 general conference.

At the time of the site announcement, an exterior rendering of the Fort Worth Texas Temple was also released.

More than 371,000 Latter-day Saints comprising nearly 740 congregations reside in Texas. The state has dedicated and operating temples in Dallas, San Antonio, Houston and Lubbock, with a temple under construction in McAllen and two others announced and in planning in Austin and Prosper, the latter in the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metro area.
