This event is for all ham operators and interested friends across the country!
Equipment is setup in an emergency simulation to experience what it’s like to operate portable radios without the luxury of 115 volts of power coming out of the wall—everything will be battery only!
We’ll send signals to outer-space and bounce them back to earth using the ionosphere.
We’ll be using homemade antennas to see how many contacts we can make with folks around the country.
Come say hi, see the set up, and try it yourself. Bring a lawn chair and drink!
