Multi-Region Fox Hunt for Ham Operators

All ham radio operators within the following regions are invited:

Alliance, Arlington, Burleson, Carrollton, Colleyville, Dallas, Dallas East, Denton, Ft Worth, Frisco, Ft Worth North, Hurst, Irving, Lewisville, Little Elm, Weatherford, Prosper and Richarson.

What is a fox hunt? A radio transmitter is hidden somewhere in the city and it is up to the ham operators to see who can find it using direction finding equipment, triangulation, orienteering and a little bit of luck!

Bring: A handheld radio and handheld beam antenna.

What to Expect: A short 30 minute training on direction finding techniques. Then we will all leave in search of a hidden radio transmitter, aka the fox!

Questions: Contact Hurst Stake Emergency Coordinator, Pat Autrey at: patautrey@gmail.com
